We are headed to Ruidoso for a special tour of Lincoln Historic Site and Fort Stanton Historic Site. Led by state rangers we will get a complete tour and history. We will take a break between tours to have lunch on the grounds of the Lincoln Site. There will be some free time to roam Ruidoso before we check into our hotel – Hotel Ruidoso. Dinner on the 18th is on your own but suggestions will be given. After breakfast (included with your hotel) we will travel to Three Rivers Petroglyph Site to view 21,000 glyphs of birds, humans, animals, fish, as well as geometric designs scattered over 50 acres. The petroglyphs date from 900 to 1400 CE. On your return to Albuquerque you might want to stop in San Antonio for a green chili cheese burger at the Owl or the Buckhorn.(Bring a box lunch for the 18th – trip limit 30 – Hotel Group Rate $109.00 + tax. Lincoln Site fee- $5.00 veterans and museum of NM members free.)
