July 9 – The National Museum of Nuclear Science and History

July 9, 2016

Chartered by the US Congress, this museum is the best place to learn the story of the Atomic Age. The exhibits span the early research of nuclear development through today’s use of atomic energy.  We will have a full docent led tour lasting about 75 minutes.  You will see one of the very few remaining B52B Stratofortress planes remaining and the only one left that actually dropped an atomic bomb in a Pacific test. Trip time from  9:00 a.m. returning at your leisure after the tour.
