Kiva at the End of the Rainbow

Pot of Gold

It is extremely fitting that Ranger John was able to take a photograph of a rainbow coming out of the entrance to the famous painted kiva, the reason being that this specific kiva had a purpose, and that purpose was to ask for rain. This kiva produced many paintings, and almost all of the images relate to water, in fact it is the largest collection of kiva murals ever found that are dedicated to one subject… the production of rain. So be sure to visit us and see some of the original paintings that date back almost 600 years.
