Artists flock to Coronado Historic Site because of the inspiring vistas, architecture and ruins. We get many watercolor and oil painters, but we were recently visited by Bonnie Mitisek-Sprague who is an incredibly talented pastel artists. Her favorite subject is foliage, and she visits our site regularly to capture the ever changing plant life. From day to day, the plants change size color, and even shape. Bonnie does such a great job capturing the spirit of our site, that some of the rangers have even purchased her work. Bonnie is also a member of the Plein Air Painters of New Mexico. Thank you Bonnie for creating these beautiful images of our site, and we hope that you continue to come back and visit!
